Parking at Blackpool Airport
Blackpool Airport (BLK) is situated south of the city. The entrance of the complex is linked by a dual carriageway to the motorway network. You have to drive along the A5230 from junction 4 of the M55 motorway and turn left at the first roundabout.
As a regular flier I’ve used the airport in Blackpool dozens of times, mostly I had to travel out of the airport because of business as I do public relations for a large automotive company. Each time I have to catch a flight I normally use the available parking sites at or nearby the airport. You just drive your car into the facility, obtain a ticket by pushing the button and keep the voucher with you. When I returned from my business trip I took the ticket and confirmation to the information desk where the ticket was validated for me. When I left the park I inserted the ticket into the slot and I drove away. I even enjoyed a discounted price as I booked the parking in advance online.
The most economical options are also positioned within a longer distance from the airport. I you want to use one of these you better arrive there early so you have enough time left before the check in procedure commences. If you not feel good about this then I would suggest, the pretty painless, valet parking option.
During the last two years I always pre-booked my car parking online and I wish I also had done this the first year. Using these services to plan your travels is really the best advice I can give you.
